I have tried several Valrhona chocolates, my favorites (by a small margin) are the guanaja and carribe. Mostly, I’ve gotten my chocolates from Caputo’s and they always have a good deal. I highly recommend.Valrhona is my Go-To Chocolate when I want superior dark flavor for my special desserts. Not too sweet, tangy, oily or rich. Not as dry, earthy as the equally premium and delicious Scharffenberger. After a little sticker shock, I went ahead and purchased this two pound bag with an eye toward saving a little if I decided to make this recipe again. All I can say is that there may have to be some adjustments made as from the moment I opened the package, the smell of pure chocolate enticed me into sneaking a few out of the bag. For quality control purposes, of course. I have now thoroughly checked and can state with 100% certainty that it is as good as I was told. Awesome stuff.The order arrived on a very hot day. I got the package off my porch within an hour of delivery. The cold packs which were supposed to keep the chocolate cool were completely melted and the chocolate feves were starting to melt together. They are still useable, and taste good.Let’s face it. If you’re even looking up Valrhona on amazon, chances are you already know about the awesomeness that comes in this golden bag, but just in case, give them your money now. Don’t resist, don’t balk at the price. I mean, one order and you’ll be an addict like me, so make I should warn people away, but dagnabit, this is some lip-smackingly good chocolate! I brought some to work and became the instant hero. My husband, upon being given his first taste of these nibblits of goodness, pronounced me the queen of wives and bought me a platinum tiara. People who don’t even like dark chocolate tried these discs of deliciousness and realized that yes, they are. So what if they cost more than real gold?? Shut up and take my money!!!I ve made many desserts n cakes so far w these choc feves and the rich chocolate aroma and flavor in them were jus amazing. This beauty s absolutely worth the price and no other brands that u buy in Super Market will come close enough to this. These feves melts as smooth as velvet which u can feel while u mix it up without any clumps. I also use the Valrhona Cocoa powder with this to.make it even more rich. I m glad I found these. Must have for Serious chocolate lovers.
