Purchased these clips to use at an outdoor graduation party where picnic tables were used. One thing to consider is the thickness of the picnic table. Other reviewer’s said that that is an important thing to consider. We measured at the park where we were using them and found that they would work. I do not think we had any of them break. The tables were rather thick so I think these would be a good option. Overall we were very satisfied with the clips and saved them for future parties.Worked out for the shower held table cloths on picnic tablesAt our week-long family reunion, we put together 5 picnic tables and cover them with a plastic table covering. We've tried various clips, duct tape, etc., but it tends to get caught by the wind and torn up before the week is over. This year, I decided to try these clips. I was concerned whether they would fit the thickness of the standard wooden state park picnic tables, but figured nothing ventured, nothing gained. They did fit very tightly, but we only broke one putting them on. They held the tablecloth down snugly the entire week. I thought more might break when we took them off, but again we lost only a couple more and the others are good to re-use next year. With a package of 72, it will be a long time before we need to buy more.Tip: the flat part goes on the top of the table. Put the top edge on the top of the table and carefully pull down the curved part until it is wide enough to push onto the table width. These are a necessity for any outdoor event! I read a lot of reviews complaining that they broke or didn’t fit and I believe that was user error. They are meant to be tight so that the table cloth stays in place. They are definitely tight and can take some work to get them on certain tables, but if you do it right, they work. You can always stretch them with your hands first, or even put them in boiling water to loosen the plastic some and then stretch them out. Even if you break a few trying to figure out the technique, you have plenty left! I think these were a fantastic deal!Out of 75 hooks I broke 15 setting up tables for a party. Not strong at all don't waste your money.I read the reviews of some saying they broke. I ordered anyway because it was a 72 pack and I thought well even if half break its still worth it for the tableclothes to stay in place at my sons grad party at the park. Well not one clip broke even though the picnic tables were very thick and the clips went on kind of hard. I even had my aunt aunt ask me if she could have 4 of them for her table at home. :) I say go for it. These were worth every pennyDid the job, however they were sometimes a bit difficult to get onto the table (normal < 1" table) or broke when putting them on. Fortunately we had a lot of them so we had back ups. They also protrude from the table quite a bit so people kept bumping them around whenever they were sitting at the tables. These clips fit right over the sides of the picnic table. They are also a very good value for the money. I did not understand how they worked at first, but they are simple once you figure it out (10 seconds, maybe). I wish they were more decorative rather than just clear, but this way at least they go with any color table cloth. They can tear the tablecloth (plastic/vinyl) so I wouldn't recommend planning on moving them once they are in place.SE ROMPEN FACILMENTE Y NO SUJETAN BIEN EL MANTEL DE PLÁSTICO EN EXTERIORESVery flexible .
