My wife and I both use these 'dime store readers'. (As my Dad used to call them) They are always getting lost, broken, taken to work, left in the car, etc. (And I've broken just as many $20 pairs as $5 pairs)It seems like I'm always looking for a pair AFTER I sit down to read (on couch, in bed, on deck, on the throne, etc) so my strategy is to be able to buy enough of these suckers to have them sprinkled around the house at all the primary reading locations, but was reluctant to really stock up with CVS 'Ready Readers" @ $10 a pop, which I used to consider a good deal.These are surprisingly sturdy glasses. And while they are narrower vertically than standard 'Clark Kent' glasses, they are certainly wider (vertically) than 'half frame' readers. Not bad at all.For $1.75 a pair, this is a terrific deal. (As I write this they are $6.99 for four pairs)I bought these initially a couple of weeks ago, and have since re-ordered a double batch, don't know how long they will be around at this price.My advice would be, what have you got to lose? $6.99 and with Amazon Prime $0 shipping, try them. If you don't like them, you're out $7.
